Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 November 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information InstagramAnonymous processes when you use our anonymous Instagram viewer, and how we handle it.
1. Who We Are
InstagramAnonymous ("we", "us", "the Service") operates InstagramAnonymous.com, a free tool for viewing publicly available Instagram content anonymously. We are an independent service and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc.
2. Information We Collect
No account, no login. Using InstagramAnonymous does not require you to create an account or connect any Instagram credentials, and we do not collect a username, password, or profile of you.
Technical data. Like most websites, our servers automatically process standard request data such as your IP address, browser type, and timestamps. We use this only to operate the Service, apply rate limits, and detect or prevent abuse.
Search input. When you enter a username or profile link, it is sent to our servers to retrieve the requested public content. We do not link searches to your identity.
3. How We Use Information
We use the limited data above to deliver the Service, keep it fast and reliable, protect it against automated abuse and excessive usage, and maintain security. We do not sell your personal information.
4. Instagram Content and Third Parties
The profiles, photos, posts and stories shown by InstagramAnonymous are publicly available content that belongs to the respective Instagram account holders. We retrieve this public content through third-party data providers and stream media through our own servers so that expiring links continue to work.
All trademarks, media, and content displayed remain the property of their respective owners. InstagramAnonymous claims no ownership over Instagram content.
5. Caching
To keep the Service fast and to reduce load on upstream providers, we temporarily cache public profile data for a short period. Cached data reflects public content only and expires automatically.
6. Cookies, Advertising and Analytics
InstagramAnonymous uses Google AdSense to show advertisements. Google and its advertising partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads, including personalized ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites, and may process information such as your IP address, browser type, and browsing behavior. You can review how Google uses information from sites that use its services, and opt out of personalized advertising, through Google's Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com). Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites across the internet.
If you are in the UK or EEA, we ask for your consent before advertising cookies are set, and you can review or withdraw that consent at any time through the privacy and consent options shown on the site.
We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors interact with the site through aggregated usage metrics and session replays (such as mouse movement, clicks and scrolling). Clarity may set cookies and process this data on Microsoft's servers; see Microsoft's privacy statement for details. We do not use it to identify individuals.
7. Comments
When you post a comment, we collect the display name you choose (which is optional) and your comment text. To prevent spam and abuse we verify submissions with Cloudflare Turnstile and store a one-way hashed value derived from your IP address, and we do not store your raw IP address alongside your comment. Comments are reviewed before they appear.
Under the GDPR, our lawful basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in keeping the discussion free of spam and abuse. You may object to this processing, or ask us to remove a comment, by emailing [email protected].
8. Data Retention
Technical logs are retained only for as long as needed for security and abuse prevention, then discarded. We do not maintain user profiles or long-term records of individual searches.
9. Your Rights
If you are the owner of content shown through InstagramAnonymous and would like it removed, or if you wish to exercise privacy rights available in your jurisdiction (such as under the GDPR or CCPA), contact us at [email protected] and we will respond promptly.
Under the GDPR you have the right to: access your personal data; rectify inaccurate or incomplete data; erasure ("the right to be forgotten"); restrict processing; data portability; object to data processing; and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected].
10. Children
InstagramAnonymous is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
